United scouts monitoring 19 goals Belgian striker as private talks holds with desperate Juventus Rabiot

According to rumours, Erik ten Hag and Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot have 'had informal conversations' over a summer transfer to Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been keeping an eye on the 28-year-old for a while now after United backed out of an agreement to sign the Frenchman last summer because of his exorbitant wage demands.

However, based on claims that Ten Hag has met with the player directly, it would appear that he plans to relaunch his chase towards the end of the current campaign.

Since Rabiot's contract is set to expire at the end of the current season and United appears eager to take advantage of his situation as a free agent, Rabiot is really anticipated to draw interest from a number of clubs this summer.

While Ten Hag is claimed to have been working to influence him to choose Old Trafford. With the team looking to add a midfielder, French news publication L'Equipe reports that Ten Hag has spoken to Rabiot about a potential transfer.

The France international is currently having his greatest season in Serie A, scoring 11 goals for the Italian powerhouses across all competitions. Rabiot has previously declared his desire to play in the Premier League, feeling he is ideally suited to the league's style. This is encouraging for Ten Hag.

"I don't have a favourite team, there isn't really a club where I would necessarily like to play for," Rabiot explained during the World Cup in Qatar.

"It is above all the league and it's the level that attracts me. I also think that the way of playing there matches my qualities more."

Premier League are rivals monitoring Adrien Rabiot

Despite current contract negotiations with the Turin giants, 90min claimed that Manchester United is still interested in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and that channels of contact over a potential transfer are open.

The 28-year-old has put in much improved performances for a Juventus team that is presently up to second in the table following three straight victories throughout the 2022–23 Serie A season, making him one of the league's top players.

After not scoring a single goal all of last season, Rabiot now has 11 goals in all competitions for La Vecchia Signora. He has also provided four assists, putting him in the running for a new contract when his current one expires at the end of June.

The extension of Rabiot's stay at the Allianz Stadium is currently being discussed with his representatives, and manager Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly a major fan of the Frenchman. Notably, Rabiot is said to be content at Turin and to be having a good time at the club.

However, speculation over a prospective transfer away from the club has been fanned by the fact that negotiations with Rabiot's team have not yet resulted in an agreement.

In March, 90min reported that Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham were keeping an eye on the issue with Rabiot, and they are still doing so, along with Arsenal.

The quartet, who include United manager Erik ten Hag, think that signing a player of Rabiot's caliber would be fantastic transfer business, and they are prepared to pounce if Juventus are unable to reach a new contract agreement.

Rabiot hinted at a move when he indicated he'd be interested in moving to the Premier League in December of last year, but more lately he's suggested he might end up staying at Juventus, the team he joined from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.

Rabiot's prospects of making France's squad for the 2024 Euros could actually be negatively impacted by his decision to transfer to a different league, given the requirement to become used to the tempo and playing style of English football.

Manchester United scouts Nigerian goal poacher

According to rumors, Manchester United deployed scouts to observe Gift Orban, a Nigerian striker.

The team will place a high priority on acquiring a high-priced striker who can contribute right away this summer.

But if it's Harry Kane, who will turn 30 in July, Manchester United will need to consider another forward who is younger and can learn from him.

And right now, it's being said that the Red Devils are interested in a quality young forward who fits the bill. Nieuwsblad, a Belgian daily, reports This past weekend, scouts from Manchester United observed Gift Orban, a striker.

Gift Orban, who joined Gent from Norwegian club Stabaek, has been a revelation. He has scored 19 goals in 19 appearances.

This included a hat-trick in Gent's 4-0 victory over Cercle Brugge in front of United scouts. The 20-year-old merely joined Gent in January and has already had a significant influence on Belgium. He cost Gent £2 million.

The Red Devils should take Orban into consideration after he scored a hat-trick in just 25 minutes during a Europa Conference League match.

He has continued his spectacular scoring streak, during which he scored 19 goals in 24 appearances in Norway before joining Gent.

United should take a risk on young talent like Orban, not as a starter but as a backup.
