"The best"- Agent Bruno Fernandes comments speaks volumes about Benfica's Goncalo Ramos

Man United's mid fielder Bruno Fernandes, has urged the team to recruit Goncalo Ramos, claiming he may develop into "one of the best" strikers in the world of soccer.

Ramos, 21, has had a breakout season with the Portuguese team, scoring 26 goals in 46 games for the Eagles across all competitions.

He also made his international debut for Portugal, taking Cristiano's place in the starting lineup for the nation's World Cup match against Switzerland, when he scored a hat-trick.

In the forthcoming summer transfer window, United manager Erik ten Hag will prioritize adding a striker despite interest in Ramos, Victor Osimhen, and Harry Kane.

And Fernandes remarked to Portuguese publication A Bola that his countryman possesses all the necessary traits to succeed in the Premier League.

"The best always come in handy, be it Gonçalo or another player," Bruno Fernandes stated.

"He has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say Premier League I also mean Manchester United."

"I think he could become a great reference in the coming years, but it's still not in my hands to be sports director... Gonçalo has all the conditions to play in the Premier League, he is very intense, presses very well and is very good inside the area."

"He surprised me in the national team, not only me but the rest of my team-mates. He's physically strong, he's still young and he's going to get better."

"If he continues to work as he has been doing, I think he has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the world, but he needs to go to a more competitive league to prove it."

According to rumours, United is considering moving for five other striker targets this summer since the club anticipates Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to play hardball in an effort to keep Kane from departing.

Despite Levy's reputation for being tough to deal with in the past, United and Ten Hag are rumored to be targeting England captain Kane, who this season broke his team's all-time goal scoring record.

As a result, United are actively looking for alternatives, even if Ten Hag is still 'obsessed' with the idea of signing the 29-year-old forward. Ten Hag is in need of a new, skilled forward.

According to The Manchester Evening News, Ramos, Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta, Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt, and Osimhen of Napoli are all on the illustrious shortlist. In order for United to sign Kane, a source who had previously worked with Levy stated they would have to "kill him," half-jokingly.
