Rasmus Holjund closer to United's move as Aston Villa eyes Anthony Martial's loan move

Anthony Martial of Manchester United is reportedly interested in playing for Unai Emery's Aston Villa.

Aston Villa is reportedly interested in acquiring Anthony Martial from Premier League rival Manchester United during the summer transfer season, according to Football Transfers.

According to the report, Villa is considering making a loan offer for Martial in order to capture the United attacker for the upcoming campaign.

The France international would transfer to Villa Park on a season-long loan deal with the option to make it permanent after that, according to reports from the Villans.

Unai Emery, the manager of Villa, wants to bring in a flexible attacker who can play on the wings or in the centre.

The former Arsenal manager is also said to be interested in Martial, who earns £250,000 per week (SalarySport) and is under contract with United through the summer of 2024 with an additional year's option.

According to FootballTransfers, Aston Villa is considering a potential loan deal for Anthony Martial of Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag does not have the Frenchman in plans for next campaign, thus the Dutchman will attempt to send him out in the ensuing timeframe.

FootballTransfers further reported that Aston Villa is debating whether to submit a proposal that would have Martial join on an initial loan with a buy option after a year.

For the upcoming campaign, Unai Emery is searching for a versatile attacker who can play on the wing or in the middle as a second striker.

This season, Martial has struggled with injuries, and his time with Manchester United is winding down.

For the following season, Ten Hag will want to sign a top striker. The team is reportedly interested in Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund, but FootballTransfers has been told that they will have a difficult time finding a deal for less than £60 million.

Following reports that the team wants to purchase the 20-year-old to play with Harry Kane, sources in Italy have discussed Man Utd's interest in the player.

Although the club is interested in Hojlund, it won't be pushed to make the initial bid of £40 million that has been suggested in UK media. Hojlund has a deal with Atalanta through 2027, but the team would prefer to sell him after only one more campaign in Bergamo. At this time, it is believed that the striker's value may double, and he would also be available for another season.

There will be a deliberate effort to hold onto Hojlund even though Atalanta currently appears to be out of the Champions League race.
