Predicted Man United's starting eleven against West Ham with Erik Ten Hag confident of victory

Less than 72 hours have passed since Manchester United suffered a loss to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

A dramatic late penalty by Alexis Mac Allister handed Erik ten Hag's United their sixth away loss against the top nine teams in the Premier League; their lone point came in a recent 2-2 draw with Spurs, a game they were leading 2-0.

West Ham's preseason aspirations of making another run for European football were immediately dashed by defeat after defeat, and they are now much closer to the bottom of the table than they are to the top half. But after making it all the way to the final four of the Europa Conference League, the Hammers still have a chance to realize their ambition.

Rotation may be used as Ten Hag tries to pick up three crucial points in the capital because United have yet to finish in the top four despite being in a strong position. The Dutchman might line his side up like this.

Defense

David De Gea

Alexis Mac Allister's late penalty derailed De Gea's hopes of keeping a clean sheet for the 16th time this season, which is a shame because the Spaniard had made some excellent saves.

Wan-Bissaka

He may be the best right-back in the world from a defensive one-on-one standpoint.

Victor Lindelof

The Swede has improved since replacing Raphael Varane, who is injured, in the lineup. Will believes he still has a case to make.

Luke Shaw

At the Amex Stadium in midweek, a careless arm in the air cost United dearly, ruining what would have otherwise been another excellent central defensive display.Diogo Dalot, who will face Jarrod Bowen in east London, doesn't particularly care whose side of the field he plays on.

Mid Field

Casemiro, a Brazilian player who overall has been a great addition to United but has to improve his discipline, easily could have received another red card against Brighton if it weren't for some forgiving Andre Marriner officiating.

Christian Eriksen - Fred's relatively erratic performance against Brighton may have made room for Eriksen to start again.

Bruno Fernandes - Has excelled in a deeper role recently, but he possesses the ability to dominate West Ham higher up.

Attack

Antony The Brazilian winger, who is still adjusting to life in the Premier League, is held to high expectations. He became a little irritable against Brighton and confronted Mac Allister, demonstrating his desperation to do better.

Marcus Rashford: With just one goal in his previous four Premier League appearances, Rashford has entered goal drought territory. No, but seriously—if United can score here, it would be a huge boost to their Champions League chances.

Sancho, Jadon - It's unexpected that rumors of a loan return to Borussia Dortmund have surfaced, but it's hard to picture a scenario in which United would let one of their most naturally brilliant players to depart. Ten Hag might make the substitution of Sancho for Martial at the London Stadium.

After the loss to Brighton Albion on Thursday night, Erik Ten Hag is confident his side will bounce back as they look  to seal their qualification for next season's Champions League competition.

“Every time this season when we have had a defeat, we bounce back," Erik Ten Hag stated during his press conference on Friday afternoon.

So, I count on my players and my team to do it again. So, there is no time to stay in this [mood]. We go to the game against West Ham United, and we will all focus on that. We will prepare them, we make a good plan. The players have to take responsibility and they will do, I count on that. They have to do it and they can do it, because we have the evidence this season that every time we had a disappointment, they bounce back.”

" I think we have had quite a good run so far. In our last five, we had four wins and a draw. We have everything in our hands. So, we have to focus on our performance. I trust my players, so I am quite convinced about it, yeah.”
