Manchester United agrees deal with Seria A Champion as Sheffield United shows interest in Center back

According to rumours in Italy, via TalkSports and United in Focus; Manchester United and Kim Min-jae of Napoli have reached an agreement.

The South Korean international has been in outstanding form this season for Napoli, helping them win the Scudetto.

The strong center-back has appeared in 43 games this season, contributing to his team's outstanding 15 Serie A clean sheets while scoring twice.

The 26-year-old has agreed to join the Red Devils, according to Naples-based publication Il Mattino, and just a few minor issues need to be worked out.

According to the report, Napoli has already begun looking for a center-back to replace Kim.

The £15 million signing, who only arrived from Fenerbahce in Turkey last summer, has unquestionably surpassed expectations.

Uncertainty surrounds the potential value of a deal, although it has been reported that United will need to spend between £43 million and £52 million to get him to Old Trafford.

The acquisition will give Man United's defense a big boost. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez's injuries have occasionally left Ten Hag without enough defensive options.

With more choices in the center of defense a top aim for United heading into the next campaign, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire's futures may be in jeopardy. Since neither player has been able to play regularly for the first team this year, they may be permitted to leave this summer.

Sheffield United wants Axel Tuanzebe

The Sun reports that a number of Man United players will be let go this summer, including Tuanzebe.

The 25-year-old has through a difficult period lately. Injury setbacks have stalled the progress of a player who was once thought to be guaranteed an Old Trafford position in the first squad.

Tuanzebe, who has been hailed by Luke Shaw as a player with "everything," has spent the last few seasons on loan.

“I think Axel is unbelievable,” the left-back said. “I think the talent he’s got is frightening. He’s strong, he’s quick, he’s energetic, he reads the game well, he’s a good passer of the ball, he’s got everything,” Shaw said.

“For me, his main position is probably central defender. I think if he nails down one place, it will be central defender. But like I said, he’s got everything and he’s still very young.”

When Tuanzebe was on loan to Aston Villa, he produced his best football. His hopes of making an impact at Stoke this season have been ruined by injury.

The Blades must meticulously plan their course during the summer transfer window and select the appropriate personnel.

Heckingbottom will require at least five or six replacements. And there could need to be more if the contracts for current players aren't settled.

It's a signing that carries some danger when Tuanzebe is involved. His progress appears to have been hindered by the wounds.

However, there is undoubtedly a player there, and at 25, the soon-to-be ex-Manchester United star still has hope.

Tuanzebe, who is regarded as a dominant defender who is at ease with the ball, might excel if he is successful in getting back to full health.

It's a move that might benefit all sides if he joins on a free transfer and is ready to take a lower-paying Premier League contract.

Axel Tuanzenbe set to be released alongside four others this summer by Manchester United

Amongst the Manchester United players set to be released in the summer are likely to be Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe according to Manchester Evening News

Due to a knee issue, Jones, 31, has only started two games in the past three years, and Tuanzebe, a fellow center back, 25, hasn't played for United since the Europa League final in 2021.

Jones has not worked out at all this year and was last seen on May 20 during a Carrington session. Since signing a new deal in February 2019, he has started 16 games and been replaced five times at halftime.

The year 2022 for Tuanzebe was once again marred by injuries, and he recently ended a four-month loan with Stoke City in the Championship, where he only appeared five times. Last month, Tuanzebe's brother and agent, Dimitri, visited United's Carrington training facility to get more information on his future.

Ethan Galbraith, a midfielder from Northern Ireland who is currently on loan at League Two team Salford, has been informed that his contract will expire and he will be released. In November 2019's Europa League group stage match against Astana, Galbraith made his sole senior United debut.

Ondrej Mastny, an academy goalkeeper, and Charlie Wellens, who had brief loans with Portadown and Oldham Athletic, are also expected to be let go. Mateo Mejia, a Spanish striker, too has an uncertain future.

Tom Heaton, the team's number two goalkeeper, has recently returned to full training following a foot injury. United must decide whether to extend his contract.

Nathan Bishop, a backup goalkeeper that United acquired from Southend United in January 2020, is also very close to the conclusion of his contract. Bishop, 23, has never participated in a United game.
