Man United's potential attacking set up against Man City in Anthony Martial's absence

Anthony Martial's injury forced him to miss the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday, which was a major setback for Manchester United.

After entering the game with 23 minutes remaining in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Fulham, the attacker suffered a hamstring strain at the conclusion. Later evaluations revealed that he had suffered a muscular tear.

He will now miss 33 games this season as a result. Despite sustaining a nasty-looking ankle injury in last Thursday's 4-1 victory over Chelsea, Erik ten Hag claims Antony might be ready in time for the trip to Wembley.

Given the absence of Martial, his potential return would be a huge boost. Due to the forward's setback, Marcus Rashford, who scored the game-winning goal against City at Old Trafford in January, is almost probably going to start as the primary striker.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw are set to defend David de Gea, while Fred might join Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in midfield to add additional oomph against a busy City midfield.

In spite of the strong likelihood that Ten Hag would start four midfielders versus City, possibly shifting Bruno Fernandes to the right wing, here are three other attacking lineups he could choose from.

Jadon Sancho- Marcus Rashford- Antony

If Antony is passed fit, Sancho would probably start on the left rather than Garnacho. Ten Hag has continued to support Sancho despite repeated lackluster performances; Sancho has started 11 of the last 15 Premier League games.

Sancho has scored three goals this season from both wings, but he has played on the left nine times more frequently (19 vs. 10). He would probably be replaced at some point by Garnacho.

Alejandro Gernacho- Marcus Rashford- Jadon Sancho

Garnacho would start the FA Cup final just over a year after his standout performance in the FA Youth Cup final if this were to occur. Sancho would also make his first Wembley start in front of spectators since November 2019, which was also his last start for England, both of which took place behind closed doors.

Rashford was chosen the club's player of the year because of his outstanding performance this year. He is without a doubt less efficient on the left than he is as a lone striker, though.

Alejandro Gernacho-Marcus Rashford-Antony

The least likely choice out of the three, but possibly the most common. The front three are the most likely to deliver a game-winning moment, making Garnacho's starting performance in games the least likely and popular.

Because Garnacho and Antony are less likely to track back, players like Casemiro and Varane might be a little concerned about the added defensive cover they will receive.
