Man United submits contract offer for Adrien Rabiot and set to retain Jack Butland on permanent basis

In order to make Jack Butland's loan at Old Trafford permanent, Manchester United is prepared to treble his salary.

Following Martin Dubravka's January recall, the English goalkeeper signed a six-month contract with the Red Devils in order to add further competition. Even though he hasn't made a single appearance for the team, United is still interested in making the agreement permanent.

At the end of the current season, Butland's contract at parent club Crystal Palace expires, making him a free transfer target. The Eagles and the stopper have not yet reached new agreements, so an exit seems to be the most likely course.

The Scottish Sun reports that there is already a lot of demand for his services. There are rumors that Scottish powerhouse Rangers are considering a contract offer and are intrigued.

The Red Devils, though, want to keep Butland and are prepared to match any upcoming offer from Ibrox. A transaction would mark what is anticipated to be the first phase of a minor reorganization of United's goalkeeping staff.

Although David de Gea's current contract expires at the end of the current campaign, new terms are likely to be reached. Next month, third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton's contract will expire, and he may leave Old Trafford once more.

Although Dean Henderson will likely be sold, he will return from his loan at Nottingham Forest. The Red Devils are anticipated to be searching for a new starting goalkeeper this summer, as Gregor Kobel of Borussia Dortmund has recently been linked to a move.

Butland remarked in a statement after signing his initial loan agreement: This is an amazing club and one that I am now proud to represent. I’m really looking forward to working with an unbelievable goalkeeping group, supporting each other every day to create the best training and playing environment for the team."

“I’ve played against David de Gea and represented England alongside Tom Heaton; they are top-class ‘keepers, and I am relishing the opportunity to compete alongside and support them as teammates."

“There is a lot that this group can achieve this season and I’m excited to play my part in helping everyone to reach these ambitions.”

Before the current season is up, it seems unlikely that Butland will play for the Red Devils' first team. The quest for a Champions League spot is still ongoing for Erik ten Hag's team, and it may extend to the final day of the season.

Man United submits contract offer to Rabiot

When this season ends and Adrien Rabiot becomes a free agent, Manchester United is serious about signing him. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Frenchman has even received an offer from the Red Devils.

The English team found a deal with Juventus over his transfer fee in the summer and wanted to sign him. They were unable to give him a favorable offer, so the Frenchman remained in Turin.

Rabiot and Juve are negotiating a new contract, but he won't consider it unless the Bianconeri make the Champions League at the end of current season.

They are unaware of the new penalties they will receive for using capital gains, which has compounded the situation. They risk losing Rabiot as a result, and United appears eager to seize the opportunity to sign him as quickly as possible.

We desperately want Rabiot to sign a long-term contract with us because of his outstanding performance this season, but the Frenchman might depart.

He will sign with the team that pays him the most money as a free agent, and we are highly unlikely to match Manchester United's offer.

Before facing Man City in the FA Cup final, United must play Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Fulham in its final three games of the year.
