David Ornstein confirms Ajax star wants exit amid United and Premier League interests

Erik ten Hag is set on recruiting and will push for a transfer as soon as the summer transfer market opens. The price at which Man Utd can close a deal has been made public.

At Old Trafford this summer, finding a top class center-forward is the top priority. According to The Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag prefers to sign Harry Kane of Tottenham over Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

But since Spurs and Napoli have a reputation for being difficult negotiators, neither player will be simple to sign. One cannot disregard the minor issue of price tags that exceed £100 million.

Alternatives have been suggested, including Dusan Vlahovic, Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Mohammed Kudus, in the case that neither are brought to Manchester.

Ten Hag is acquainted with the last person on the list from their time at Ajax. The 22-year-old Kudus can play as a striker if necessary, but because to his versatility, he can also compete as a second striker, attacking midfielder, or on the wings.

In 41 games for Ajax this season, the Ghanaian international has racked up 18 goals and six assists. He has a contract that runs until 2025, yet the incredibly dependable David Ornstein predicts that he will leave Ajax.

Ornstein's confirmation of earlier rumors by publications like Football Transfers and MEN that United are keen will set off alarm bells at Old Trafford.

Kudus is'set to leave' Amsterdam, according to a piece by Ornstein for the Athletic, and he has already turned down the chance to prolong his stay into 2025.

Ajax has reportedly been informed of his decision to leave once the window opens on June 10 by him.

According to the source, Ajax will let Kudus depart rather than letting a player who doesn't want to stay reach the final two years of his contract because their business model depends on regular high-profile transactions.

Arsenal and Newcastle are both said to be interested, but given their link to Ten Hag, it would seem that Manchester United has the best chance of making a bid.

Ornstein came to the conclusion that a fee of about £40 million will be needed if the Red Devils decide to pursue their interest.
