Team news: Bruno Fernandes amongst traveling squad but two Man United's stars are reportedly missing

Prior to their journey to play Tottenham, Manchester United has added Bruno Fernandes to their traveling lineup.

The Portuguese midfielder was listed as questionable for the match but after traveling to London on Thursday morning with the rest of the first-team squad, he now seems to be in position to play.

Last weekend's FA Cup semifinal between Brighton and Fernandes saw Fernandes suffer a right ankle injury in the first half, but he continued for the entire 90 minutes before leaving before extra time.

Following the victory, photos of the 28-year-old showed him propped up on cushions with his ankle in a support brace, using crutches, and wearing a protective boot.

However, Erik ten Hag acknowledged that there was still a "question mark" next to his name going into the game despite the fact that he was present at United's Carrington training complex on Wednesday and walking without crutches or a protective boot.

By flying the day before the game rather than the day before, United has altered their usual travel schedule. At 8:15 p.m., the game begins at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Photographers missed seeing Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Marcel Sabitzer with the rest of the team, although it is assumed they arrived separately from the bus their colleagues were on.

Young players Zidane Iqbal and Facundo Pellistri, who were supposed to be part of the main group of players that landed at Manchester Airport, were nowhere to be seen.

Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho will not travel with his team to face Tottenham tonight, according to Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United travels to North London to resume Premier League play in an effort to tighten their hold on a top-four spot.

They enter the contest fresh off a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Brighton at the weekend, but they will have to manage without two first-team players.

Garnacho has resumed training after suffering an ankle injury in last month's goalless draw with Southampton, while McTominay has missed United's previous four games due to injury and is still some time away from returning.

"Alejandro is not ready for the game," Ten Hag told MUTV. "Scott, we have to wait a little bit longer, I fear. But I am sure they are all motivated to be back as soon as possible as we play a lot of ‘finals’, huge games and, in the end, we know what is going on then."

Other team news includes the continued absences of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, as well as the uncertainty surrounding Bruno Fernandes' ability to go to Tottenham.

"There are some unavailable - Martinez, Varane," Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference. "We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is, we don't know yet. Is a question mark. But I think for the rest, we are quite okay.

"It's more often that players, we protect them, prevention, but it has to settle down. We have seen he played a full game, and it happened in the first half. But tomorrow is quick, we have to see what is possible."

Confirmed Traveling squad
De Gea, Butland, Bishop; Wan-Bissaka, Dalot, Lindelof, Malacia; Fred, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Elanga, Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Weghorst.
