Sassuolo names price for Brighton's target as Erik Ten Hag and Guardiola eyes Brentford full back

Due to interest from numerous teams in Europe before the summer, the 23-year-old midfielder's future has come under scrutiny. Among the Serie A powerhouses interested in acquiring him are Juventus and Roma.

He is also well-liked in the Premier League, where Brighton and Manchester United have both expressed interest in signing him in the upcoming summer.

Before deciding to sell Frattesi, Sassuolo determined the sum they wanted, according to the Italian website Calciomercato.com. According to rumors, the Serie A team would ask roughly €35 million for the midfielder in the summer.

Sassuolo will wait for teams to satisfy their demand for Frattesi because they have no desire to give discounts. Although it is thought that the midfielder would want to remain in Italy, his Premier League pursuers have the financial wherewithal to convince him otherwise.

He has made 31 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season and scored six goals.

Man City rival Manchester United for Brentford star

This season, reports have told Football Insider that Manchester City has dispatched scouts to observe Aaron Hickey of Brentford.

Aaron Hickey has also drawn interest from Man United, a rival club of Manchester, and both organizations are interested in signing the defender this summer.

The 20-year-old transferred from Bologna of Italy to the Bees last summer for a reputed £14 million price that could increase to £18 million with add-ons. The left-back signed a four-year contract with the team that runs through 2026, but he may leave as soon as a year after he arrives.

The former Hearts defender has played for Thomas Frank's team in the Premier League 20 times, starting 18 of those games.

According to the Brentford manager, Hickey is a "very good young player" with a "fantastic future" ahead of him, as reported by Sky Sports (25 April).

Frank said that although the Scotland international has not yet reached such heights, he will be able to compete with Man City.

Despite already having to choose between Arsenal's Kieran Tierney and Liverpool's Andy Robertson, Hickey has already received nine caps from Steve Clarke for the Scotland team.

The defender started out in the Hearts system before spending a year with Celtic's under-17 team.

Hickey signed a professional contract in 2019 and returned to Hearts before being sent to Bologna in 2020 for about £1.5 million.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho states Di'shon Bernard's fate

Since being reinstated in Mousinho's starting lineup for the last two games against Oxford United and Accrington, Di'shon Bernard has had a significant impact.

According to the Manchester United player, who spoke to The News, he anticipates leaving Old Trafford this summer and is awaiting word on his future.

After catching the eye despite times of little playing time, many Pompey supporters would like to see that happen at Fratton Park, and Mousinho is now considering the idea of a permanent move for the 22-year-old.

When asked if he could sign Bernard permanently, he said: ‘Quite possibly. ‘We’ll see what’s happening with Di’Shon, it’s been really good to have a look at him these past couple of games. He came on against Shrewsbury, started at MK, Oxford and Accrington and as well."

"I think it’s been a bit easier to asses Di’Shon and his capabilities now he’s playing in his natural position versus what he did when he played against Barnsley and Plymouth. Most likely at the very least we’re a loan who goes back, in terms of Di’Shon, so we need to fill that space."

Di'shon Bernard emphasized that he has no problem with being limited to eight appearances because he was unable to overtake those ahead of him due to an injury he sustained early in his tenure.

But the Pompey manager is well known for admiring the qualities the former Chelsea and Hull City loanee defender boasts. John Mousinho wants to see the Londoner utilize both his offensive and defensive strengths to the fullest.

He added: "Di’Shon has been a bit in and out, part of that has been down to the really good form of the back four and centre-halves."

"I thought he came in and played really well against Oxford, particularly having picked up a booking in the first half. That can be really tricky for a centre-half dealing with a powerful and pacy centre-forward, we felt he did that well in his defending and also coming out from the back with the ball."

"There were a couple of moments in the second half when he opened up and went past centre-forwards, it’s really pleasing to see him do that and we’d like him to try it a bit more from the back. I think he can do it from both sides and he’s really effective."

"Carrying the ball from the back is something we really encourage our centre-halves to do. In fairness to Sean (Raggett), he did that really well against Oxford and kept travelling up the right side and found Paddy and Colby in those pockets. It really creates a problem for the opposition when they do that and create an overload."
