On loan United's teenage striker attracting strong interests as Erik Ten Hag's 13-men sale list emerges

This summer, Manchester United plans to completely restructure their roster, potentially cutting 13 players.

Erik ten Hag has defenders, midfielders, and attackers on his end-of-season shopping list as he looks to clear out most of the deadwood and continue reshaping the club in his image.

According to The Daily Mail, numerous other first team players' futures are still being internally discussed, but Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial, Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek, and Brandon Williams are all likely to be moved on in the summer.

United has spent well over £200 million on players so far this year, and with Ten Hag prioritizing a new center forward, they are sure to spend big money again this summer. Their primary objectives are still Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, both of whom are expected to cost more than £100 million.

According to reports, the club also intends to bring in a center midfielder, a center defender, a right defender, and perhaps another goalkeeper, depending on what transpires with David De Gea, who has just over a year left on his deal.

A portion of the spending spree will be financed by the upcoming player exodus, but United should still have plenty of cash on hand, especially if they finish in the top four.Even though Ten Hag's first two matches as manager ended in defeat, he has had a strong start to life at Old Trafford. After Cristiano Ronaldo's shocking departure in November, the team's form improved, and they haven't looked back since.

After defeating Newcastle in the League Cup final in February, they won their first trophy in six years, and given that they are still in contention for both the Europa League and the FA Cup, they might follow it up with two more trophies.

Charlie McNeil attracting strong loan interest ahead of next campaign

Youngster Charlie McNeill from Manchester United is presently on loan at Newport County. Charlie McNeill, a 19-year-old striker on loan from Newport, scored his second goal of the weekend, with Newport's own report describing it as "unstoppable."

It has been an unusual step up for Charlie McNeill to spend this first loan of his career at the League Two team. McNeill excelled at the under-18 level, scoring one goal per game, before hitting a ceiling at the under-21 level and scoring steadily but not quite as frequently.

The 19 year old is now experiencing life in the fourth tier of English football by participating in "men's football," and after taking some time to acclimatize, he is starting to have an impact.

The teenage striker has already scored twice for Newport, helping the team that is currently positioned 18th out of 24 in the division.

Although the youngster has gained great experience, would it be sufficient to improve his situation at Manchester United?

The good news is that Erik ten Hag is keeping an eye on McNeill. He received his debut from the Dutchman back in September, and he was also chosen for the winter tour of Spain.

Given that the club's "most talented academy players" will participate in the friendly against Wrexham rather than the first team, McNeill will probably have a chance to play during preseason.

If he makes it that far, that is. According to The MEN, teams are already showing "strong interest" in loaning McNeill out for the 2023–24 season.

To get a head start, McNeill might be signed early on a loan and start preseason with a different team. Alvaro Fernandez and Preston experienced this last summer.

For the time being, McNeill must concentrate on his work at Newport. Six games remain for his team, and the better he performs during this stretch, the more possibilities will present themselves to him in the summer.

Charlie McNeill made an impression by scoring for Newport County in their 3-0 victory over Northampton on Friday.

The 19-year-old has made a significant impression for United's development teams, but this season he has been sent out on loan to the League Two team to earn some crucial experience and game time.

Mcneill failed to score in his first ten outings at Newport, but has recently found some terrific form, scoring twice in three games. The on-loan attacker entered the fray off the bench and scored the third goal of the game and the game-winning goal with a clinical left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

On Newport's official website, McNeill's goal was hailed as a "unstoppable finish." McNeill is presently settling in in the lower divisions. McNeill expertly completed it, which exhibits abilities that United is currently lacking.

Despite defeating Everton 2-0 at home, United wasted a lot of opportunities during the game, which is best exemplified by the fact that they are now without a striker.

Wout Weghorst was favored to Marcus Rashford up top, but it is apparent that he is more productive off the left side, indicating that Erik ten Hag may not actually have a reliable center forward.

However, Anthony Martial did enter the game in the second half and score, The injury-prone forward is unreliable since it appears that he is just one step away from needing medical attention again.

As a result, ten Hag will be happy to see McNeill regaining his form, which may hint at the possibility of him playing up top for United if he stays for the upcoming season. Time will tell.

Meanwhile, In a National League game on Good Friday at Boundary Park, Altrincham and Oldham Athletic drew 2-2 thanks in large part to a spectacular goal by Manchester United-owned midfielder Maximillian Oyedele.

Maxi Oyedele rejoined Altrincham's matchday squad after assisting Poland's U19 national team in earning a spot in this summer's European U19 Championship throughout the course of the season's final international break.

With ten minutes left in the game, goals from Joe Nuttall and Bassala Sambou had the Robins down by two goals. The deficit was halved by Altrincham's Oyedele before Tyrese Sinclair scored the equalizer in the 89th minute.

The Latics defense only partially cleared an outswinging corner from Eddy Jones with his left foot, and it nicely fell to Oyedele, who from 25 yards out produced an incredible first-time volley that soared past goalie Magnus Norman.

Oyedele scored his first goal as a senior on February 18 against Woking, followed by his second goal three days later against Barnet, and his third goal in eight league games against Oldham Athletic.
