Man United's fans told to back Ten Hag as team clearout becomes vivid.

Sevilla defeated Manchester United 3-0 on Thursday night to eliminate them from the Europa League, with David de Gea making a string of appalling mistakes in goal. This was the first competition that United had lost this year, and it was a humiliating experience for the Reds.

The outcome and performance reaffirmed what many United supporters already believed: a thorough overhaul is required to transform this team into one that is capable of winning numerous championships. So what are the most important things that United must change, who should be let go or sold, and where must they improve?

The Sevilla disaster makes it clear that De Gea is ineffective and hasn't been for a while. When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attempted to make Dean Henderson his first choice, he was aware that he had failed.

De Gea is not very excellent at other things, despite his remarkable goal-stopping ability. Last night, he proved all three of his most frequently voiced criticisms: goal one was a result of his distribution, goal two was due to his inability to secure crosses, and goal three was a result of his sweeping.

It is crucial that a replacement goalkeeper who is more up to date be brought in in July and that De Gea's contract is allowed to expire.

Both the £80 million investment at the time and Harry Maguire's captaincy of Manchester United have never seemed right or clicked. Maintaining a guy like Maguire to be a backup option for the upcoming season makes little to no sense. The need to capitalize on opportunities is paramount, and it's very likely that mid-table Premier League teams will have a market for his services. Instead, United ought to aim to add a young player to complement Lisandro Martinez while Raphael Varane is still being developed.

Jadon Sancho has had a more severe fall from grace. Before making the move in 2021, he was everyone's fantasy signing for almost two years. Is it time for United to cut their losses or approve a loan move to try and help him rebuild some confidence given he hasn't appeared like the player they thought they were getting since arriving?

Even while the United midfield has received high accolades this year, it frequently seems to be missing and has trouble. Although Christian Eriksen and Casemiro have upped the bar, United still needs to add reinforcements given the uncertain future of Scott McTominay, Fred's apparent lack of favor with Ten Hag, and the potential return of Marcel Sabitzer to Bayern Munich. Expect at least two midfielders in United's next change-filled summer.

When fit, Anthony Martial possesses all the skills necessary to be United's number nine, but he is rarely fit. He always seems to be made of glass, and it's just a matter of time before he receives another knock. Consequently, even though a striking incoming was already necessary, it's probable that two number nines will have to enter the game.

Erik ten Hag intends to offload a handful of players this summer, including Anthony Martial, according to The Mail. He had recently recovered from an Injury, and this might have been his last chance to change his mind.

The fate of senior Manchester United players including Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelöf, Scott McTominay, and Fred will be decided this summer under Erik ten Hag's guidance.

To raise funds to reinvest in the team and elevate the bar, management will take this action. Ten Hag has concentrated his assessment of his players as he attempts to continue his rebuild after the humiliating 3-0 loss to Sevilla on Thursday, which saw United ousted 5-2 overall from the Europa League.

It is believed that David de Gea will sign a new contract since Ten Hag prioritizes acquiring a world-class No. 9 and boosting the midfield in the summer transfer window. De Gea and Maguire were teammates in Seville's defensive charade. Ten Hag must also decide whether the loans from Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst should be changed into long-term contracts. The former may not be retained, although a deal with Bayern Munich for Sabitzer may be pursued.

How much Ten Hag will spend will depend on whether Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, a Qatari financier, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, or any new finance from investment firms interested in partnering with Ten Hag will take over management of the company.

Sancho hasn't lived up to expectations, as evidenced by United's potential interest in a winger who originally cost Borussia Dortmund £73 million (€82.5 million) in July 2021. The most expensive defender in history is still Maguire, who paid £80 million (€90.4 million) to buy in 2019. He is a native of Leicester. According to The Guardian, Van de Beek, who has had difficulty keeping a place at United, received an initial payment of £34.7 million (€39.2 million) from Ajax.

United's season isn't over yet because they still have an FA Cup semi-final to play on Sunday and aren't guaranteed a spot in the top four, but last Thursday night's low point was a massive letdown.

Meanwhile, talented young Swedish midfielder is being pursued by a number of clubs, including Manchester United, according to the club's sporting director.

Otto Rosengren, 19, has been a standout player for Allsvenskan club Mjallby AIF in Sweden's top division, drawing interest from Holland, Denmark, and Erik ten Hag's Premier League team.

Hans Larsson, the sporting director for Mjallby, steadfastly refused to rule out selling the talented kid, reasoning that the Red Devils' interest demonstrated Rosengren's progress.

There have been clubs in Denmark, England, and the Netherlands looking at him, Larsson told Tipsbladet. He has drawn the attention of Viborg, AGF, and Manchester United among others.

"There is nothing concrete about him. There have been some rumours, and then several clubs have looked at him."

Hans Larsson explained that he does not know if the side will let Rosengren leave in the summer transfer window - which is mid-season in Sweden. Larsson said: "We must wait and see. It’s his first year as a real first-team player in Allsvenskan, and I’m not so sure he wants to leave either. We’ll have to wait and see what happens."

While he had never seen a member of Man United, Larsson claimed that they had visited him multiple times in a different interview with Fotbollskanalaen. The sports director described the Premier League club's interest as "really nice," adding that it was "wonderful" because it showed that Mjallby's operations were successful and that he was their own creation.

Although 'nothing concrete' has been decided in either direction, he said he didn't want to put the 19-year-old under 'too much pressure' and anticipated him to remain in place past the end of the year
