Man United are reportedly monitoring 19 year old RB Salzburg's youngster, Maurits Kjaergaard

According to reports, Manchester United is expected to secure the move of wonderkid Maurits Kjaergaard from Red Bull Salzburg.

The 19-year-old is the most recent highly touted young player to come out of a Red Bull team, and it appears that Man Utd has been a fan of his for a while.

According to Salzburger Nachrichten, referenced and translated by Sport Witness, Kjaergaard is now being mentioned as possibly moving on to the Red Devils in a €15 million transfer.

After a frustrating and inconsistent debut campaign under Erik ten Hag, whose team may not even place in the top four, United could use some midfield reinforcements this summer.

Kjaergaard has played regularly for Salzburg's first team for the past two seasons and is displaying excellent potential, but it's unclear whether he's quite ready to move up to a side like United or a more competitive league like the Premier League.

The teenager might be too young to join Ten Hag's team right away, but he might be good enough to play in a squad position and be introduced gradually.

The 19 year old Denmark international plays as a mid fielder for Austrian outfit, RB Salzburg and has scoredscored twice and assisted 5 in 22 appearances across all competitions this season.
