Erik Ten Hag might have met the youngest Manchester United fan so far as the gaffer stopped for a moment with some fans while he was driving into Carrington training center.
The video that is making the rounds on the internet shows the 53-year-old woman holding a little baby while its parents were trying to get the best picture they could.
Erik Ten Hag has done magnificently well since he arrived at Old Trafford as manager, despite a chaotic start to the season. He has the team firing on all cylinders while dishing out dominating victories on a weekly basis.
The former Ajax boss got the fans believing in their darling team again; so much is the new-found confidence that the fans and the players are emotionally connected.
Manchester United's legend and former captain Rio Ferdinand visited his former club's training center to get an interview with Bruno Fernandes but was blown away by what he saw. The six-time Premier League Champion insisted that there was a "dramatic change" in the atmosphere around the club behind the scenes; the new fighting spirit is not just amongst the players when they lineup to play on the pitch but, also in training, and amazingly, amongst the staff as well.
"The vibes at Carrington and Old Trafford have changed dramatically," the 44-year-old stated on his YouTube channel, Vibe with Five.
"It's become more positive, the ambience in the place. The cafeteria has even changed. It's like everything has changed. Looks different, feels different, food's different. "The feeling when you walk in, I've had very negative vibes [in the past] when I've walked through the corridors of the training ground."
"I was on my own, walking back out through the training ground, through the corridors, and I stood there and just smiled. I can sense something happening in here now. I don't know what it is or where it's going, but the ambience is very different. "There's a confidence in the place," he explained.
"And the confidence isn't about the players alone; it's the staff." "I can sense something with the staff," he added. "
They're more upbeat and happy to be at work every day. "And that's all been generated and created by Erik ten Hag and his management team and some people behind the scenes, because there's not one person who can change the whole culture of a football club—it's a collaborative approach."
"It's the right path right now, and given they're in the running for four trophies still, I don't think they'll win four." "It's nice to go to Carrington and Old Trafford and feel more optimistic than negative," Rio Ferdinand explained.
Man United will be looking forward to their return leg Europa League tie against Barcelona on Thursday night. The Catalans will be at Old Trafford, and Erik Ten Hag has already got the fans fired up with a mess of confidence.
