Player ratings as Man United and Barcelona settle for draw in classic Nou Camp showdown

It was a classic showdown between Erik ten Hag's Manchester United and Xavi Hernandez's Barcelona. Both teams showed their class in a 2-2 draw.

Manchester United had the best chance to take the lead in the first half after Wout Weghorst was put in a one-on-one situation with Ter Stegen, but the German goalkeeper managed to keep out Wout Weghorst's shot.

The second half was brought to life following Marcus Alonso's header, and Manchester United replied with two quick goals as Marcus Rashford equalized before forcing another own goal to put the Red Devils ahead. Raphinha put the Catalans back into the game after his long-range stunner found the back of David De Gea's net.

The two clubs will have to settle the tie next week when the return leg is played at Old Trafford in the city of Manchester.

David de Gea

Jordi Alba and Robert Lewandowski were stopped a few times. There is hardly anything to stop Barcelona's direct and indirect goals from crosses. 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

One of the United States' best opportunities was created, but the defense occasionally slacked. On another encouraging evening, an ongoing assault continued. 7

Raphael Varane

fought back to stop Lewandowski in the first half but failed to deal with a cross from Raphael that went all the way in. 6

Luke Shaw

Lewandowski and Raphinha caught him off guard on a couple of occasions, which highlighted his lack of experience as a center half. 6

Tyler Malacia

United had the opportunity to advance into the area to get a strong chance and make more use of the space they had on their flanks, but they chose not to do so. 6

Casemiro

His tactical game management was crucial to United's strikers terrorizing Barcelona's defense, but he marred his evening by giving Barcelona the ball back so they could equalize. 7

Fred

The fact that Fred lost Marcos Alonso for the opening goal was the nicest thing that could have happened. He gave a flawless assist in return, which raised his performance level. 6

Jadon Sancho

failed to take advantage of his opportunity to use the ball well and botched a Wan-pull-back. Bissaka squandered a better opportunity at the beginning of the second half. 5

Fernando Bruno

started on the right but moved inside to give Wout Weghorst a nice opportunity. Jules Kounde deftly flicked the ball on after it had been scored. 6

Weghorst, Wout

started behind Rashford but moved forward the most during a one-on-one that he mishandled. Although he was not signed for the role, he put in a lot of effort. 5

Marcus Rashford

energetic and forced Marc-Andre Ter Stegen to make a save with a curling attempt before scoring precisely in the second. Raphinha was skinned to score United's second goal. 8

Alejandro Garnacho

didn't have enough time to impact the game.
