This summer, the Man United is expected to look for a Diogo Dalot rival, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), negotiations between Man United and Dumfries' representatives are progressing.
Denzel Dumfries, a full back at Inter Milan, may be the target of an offer from Manchester United. With more than two years remaining on his contract, Inter will reportedly demand at least €50m (£44m) when receiving offers for the right-back at the end of the current campaign.
In order to sign Bayern Munich fullback Noussair Mazraoui, who might leave if the Germans make Joao Cancelo's loan from Manchester City permanent, the Italians require a full one-time payment.
Diogo Costa, the Porto goalkeeper, is expected to cost United €75 million (£66 million) to bring him to Old Trafford in the summer.
Given that David de Gea was entering the final year of his contract, the goalkeeper was rumored to be moving to United over the summer. The Spaniard anticipates securing a renewal before the season is through.
However, Erik ten Hag will be looking ahead, and according to A Bola, 23-year-old Costa has caught his attention (via Sport Witness). In his last 19 games for Porto, the international player from Portugal has only allowed 11 goals while recording 10 clean sheets.
With more than four years remaining on his current contract, Diogo Costa won't be a cheap signing for the Red Devils, and Porto intends to reject any offer that might be made. The 23 year old received five of his 11 caps for Portugal during the World Cup, as they advanced to the quarterfinals.
After failing to reach a new contract agreement, Brentford manager Thomas Frank acknowledged that David Raya might be sold by the Bees. Manchester United is reportedly interested in the goalkeeper, according to MEN.
With his current contract set to end in 2024, the Spanish goalkeeper disclosed earlier this week that he had rejected down two new offers from the West London club. Since Frank's team was promoted to the Premier League, Raya has been tremendously excellent, and he is expected to have many of admirers.
In 45 top-flight games for the Bees, Raya has recorded 16 clean sheets. He was chosen for Spain's World Cup squad ahead of United goalkeeper David de Gea for the most recent World Cup tournament in Qatar.
"I think if he turns it [a contract offer] down twice then unfortunately that's a signal," Thomas Frank acknowledged. "We made two really good offers but that's fine, it's a free world. We can't force anyone. That said, David has been amazing for us, coming from Blackburn three-and-a-half years ago."
"In the first season, for me, he was the best 'keeper in the Championship and then was involved in the play-off final. He made a mistake there but we told him, 'you will come back stronger' and the year after, we did it."
Additionally, Frank claimed that Raya was worth more than £40 million, alluding to the sum Chelsea paid to acquire Kepa Arrizabalaga in 2018.
He added: "He [Raya] has taken that form into the Premier League and I think he's one of the best 'keepers in this league right now. He's very focused and every day he's here, I'm happy. He's one of the captains and he is leading with his performances and his behaviour. He's a top character."
"I hope he will stay forever but it looks like it could be difficult with the contract situation. He must be [worth] at least £40m plus. If he had three years [left on his contract] it would be £70m. How much was Kepa? He is at least as good as him."
De Gea is still in discussions with United about his future in the meantime. Although his contract is set to expire in June, United has the option to renew it for an additional year. De Gea expressed his desire to complete his career with United earlier this year.
