Bruno Fernandes proves he is a true leader with reply to Jadon Sancho's Instagram message

Manchester United fans may have witnessed the start of the return to form of Jadon Sancho after the England international produced one of the best 45 minutes in a Manchester United shirt on Sunday as the Red Devils cruised past Leicester City.

Jadon Sancho has always come under heavy scrutiny after he was unable to live up to the hype surrounding his hefty transfer fee in 2019. This has seen the player lose total confidence and have to go on personal training and therapy sessions to recover, thanks to Erik Ten Hag's personnel management, which ensured that the 22-year-old went through necessary processes before he was slowly but steadily integrated back into the squad.

His return to the team has seen him show glimpses of his usual form, scoring two goals despite not completing 90 full minutes on those occasions.

He found the net on Sunday, combining well with Bruno Fernandes as they pulled a fast transitional game, with several swift one-two passes before the England winger put the ball beyond Leicester City's keeper, Ward, to make it three nil in favor of the home team.

His celebration after the goal proves how much it meant to him as he pointed towards the sea of Manchester United fans who applauded the winger for his amazing display.

He almost got another after he was put one on one with Ward, but Wout Faes was quick to block his shot. The 22-year-old however fired wide his rebound when he could have laid a pass to Bruno Fernandes, who was free on the other end to get an assist, but it was all good as Manchester United went on to win 3-0, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Jadon Sancho as well created three big chances for Manchester United, notably Wout Weghorst's best chance to score and make it 4-0, but the Dutch striker was unable to put the ball beyond Leicester City's goalkeeper.

The former Borussia Dortmund ace took to Instagram to express how happy he was with the team's victory and being able to score in the game, plus announcing he has his sights on Barcelona's visit to Old Trafford this Thursday and the Carabao Cup final showdown with Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

"Big team performance! "Happy to get on the scoresheet, but the focus switches to the big week ahead," he wrote on his Instagram account.

Bruno Fernandes Fernandes commented on the post, stating, "Step by step, you're getting there 💪."

Jadon Sancho acknowledged his teammate with this reply: "I owe you an assist."

"I'll be waiting for that 😁👀," Bruno Fernandes replied.

Team manager Erik Ten Hag was also delighted with the youngster's progress since his return from his reocupation and hopes he continues his progress and improves.

"He's moving in the right direction, but I think he doesn’t achieve his limits in this moment." "[There is] a lot of room for improvement with him," he told the club's official website, ManUtd.com.

"Now already he is on a high level, and I’m sure when he keeps especially the joy of football, then it will really improve his performance, and today you see when he’s coming on in the midfield position, [he makes] great runs and great passes."

Manchester United have a huge weekend ahead of them; they have an Europa League playoff second leg tie to settle with La Liga giants FC Barcelona and a Carabao Cup final showdown with Newcastle United at the Wembley stadium three days later.

The 3-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday will do them a world of good, as Man on Fire, Marcus Rashford, bagged a brace and is dominating the headlines.
