Amad Diallo repond to critics in the nest way validates Tony Mowbray's comments about the Ivorian

Manchester United's loanee Amad Diallo has responded to critics with an outrageous goal against Coventry City for Championship side Sunderland AFC.

The 20-year-old Man United star has come under scrutiny for a barren run of goals after failing to find the net since January. Although he managed to register an assist, he drew criticism for failing to add to his goal tally after embarking on a goalscoring spree for Tony Mowbray's Black Cats.

Although it turned out to be a consolidation goal for the black cats as they lost 2-1 to fellow Premier League ambitions side Coventry City. Tony Mowbray's Sunderland AFC trailed until the 94th minute, but the Ivorian gave them some hint of hope following his curler to the top corner of Coventry's keeper Wilson's net in front of over 21,000 fans.

Tony Mowbray has already stepped up for the 20-year-old, who he explained is bearing a burden beyond him as a footballer but yet still can do what other players cannot with the ball.

"I wouldn't criticize Amad," Mowbray was quoted as saying by the Chronicle Live. "I'd struggle to pick a team without him, although he went through a really hot spell where he scored in just about every game for a few weeks."

"I still think he massively contributes to our team and the way we function, even though he's a kid who had never played regular football really—he played a handful of games for Atalanta, a handful at Man United, went to Rangers on loan and didn't play much, and then came here."

"It's the first time ever in his life that he has played men's football week in and week out, and it will be very demanding on him." It’s not surprising that sometimes he doesn’t quite hit the pinnacle of his brilliance that he can bring, because he’s been playing just about every three days.

Erik Ten Hag was tempted by Amad Diallo's form last January, but the Dutch tactician insisted that the player complete the processes involved for his loan stint as it would be a win-win situation for both the club and the player. As a result of the team's injury woes, it was rumored that Erik Ten Hag would be recalling several youngsters who were on loan, especially those who were performing, and Amad Diallo was one of those mentioned by the press.

"We consider everything," the Dutchman replied. "But I have a little bit of reservation about that because I don't want to stop the process." He's made really good progress there, so I’m happy with that. "When we decide for him to come back, he has to be a player who can compete for the starting line-up or come on for a lot of games and make an impact."

Amad Diallo is among the number of on-loan players who are helping Erik Ten Hag with his transfer plans ahead of Manchester United's next summer transfer plans. His goal against Coventry City is his 8th of the season, plus he has 2 more assists across all competitions for the black cats.

The Ivorian international cost the Red Devils £37 million to complete his switch from Seria A side Atalanta in the winter transfer window of 2021. He has scored twice for the Red Devils under Ole Solskjaer's management, who brought him to Old Trafford, but has left the 20-time Premier League Champions for loan stints with Championship side Sunderland AFC to gather experience of men's football.
