Man United's football director John Murtough, opens talks with 24 year old striker

According to reports, Manchester United has spoken with Eintracht Frankfurt about the potential of acquiring sought-after striker Randal Kolo Muani.

The Athletic claims that Manchester United and Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt are in talks about the possibility of signing World Cup finalist Randal Kolo Muani.

Since the Reds finished third in the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League, director of football John Murtough is rumored to have hastened transfer negotiations. This is supported by the fact that the club just reached a personal terms agreement with Mason Mount, a midfield target.

In addition, Manchester United supporters will be anticipating the arrival of a new striker this summer, with Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani being identified as a top alternative to Harry Kane.

According to reports, United may be interested in signing the France international who participated in the World Cup final loss to Argentina.

The former Nantes forward has established himself as probably the hottest striker prospect this season, having scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists in 43 outings for Frankfurt despite just joining the Bundesliga club on a free transfer last summer.

With seven France caps to his name since the move, these goals and assists have also helped him establish himself as a force at the international level. The 24-year-old scored a goal in December to help France advance to the World Cup final. Should a deal be successful, his lightning speed and Marcus Rashford's would make Man United's assault more terrifying.

Erik ten Hag, however, has been dealt a blow as Eintracht Frankfurt has informed any prospective bidders that any transfer might cost in excess of €80 million due to the competitive nature of the striker market this summer and Kolo Muani's long-term contract until 2027.

Kolo Muani is also a tremendously sought-after man. Numerous prestigious teams, including Napoli, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG, and Bayern, are rumored to be interested in signing the player.

He has said that he might decide to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt for the upcoming campaign despite the rumored attention from the top brass.

"I could stay. I have a long contract and as a result, there is, of course, the possibility that I could still be the striker for Eintracht," He told TMW.

“The millions can be a pressure, but there will be another time to say goodbye. Now is not the right time.”

Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta has also been shortlisted by the Red Devils, who believe he is now the more likely candidate.
