'He would take that opportunity' Gary Neville makes Harry Kane to Man United's claim.

Manchester United's legend and TV pundit Gary Neville has advised Tottenham Hotspur's record goalscorer Harry Kane to join Man United as that will be the best choice he could make amongst the options available to him.

Harry Kane's future is up for debate again after Tottenham Hotspur were eliminated from the FA Emirates Cup tournament on Wednesday night by Championship side Sheffield United. The England international has played for the Spurs for 12 years but hasn't won a trophy in his entire career.

The 29-year-old would turn 30 next July, and it appears the North London club can't afford to give him the first silverware of his career despite his being consistent in front of goal for them. Gary Neville believes the goalkeeper will have to leave the London club if he wants a taste of silverware in his career.

Harry Kane came close to joining Manchester United's bitter domestic rival Manchester City in 2021; however, the former Man United right back believes that his former club is currently the best fit for the 29-year-old.

“He’s a great professional, and I think if Harry Kane could leave now and get an exit out of there to a club in Manchester—probably United or City—I think he would take that opportunity,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

Gary Neville further explained in details why Man United are in a better position to snap up Tottenham Hotspur's striker as he puts into consideration the rivalry between Tottenham and some of the player's suitors and playing time as well.

“Now, it’s more than likely that it wouldn’t be City because of their [Erling] Haaland expenditure and what they’ve done with him. Manchester United are desperate for a center forward."

“Tottenham fans will be furious with me—they’ll say it’s me coming on television trying to get their player to Manchester United. It’s not.  "It just looks to me like at this moment in time that the most likely move is," he stated.

“Chelsea –  I can’t see him going to Chelsea, Harry. He’s quite loyal to Tottenham, and there’s a big rivalry between Chelsea and Tottenham. I don’t see that happening. "They do need a center forward, but I don’t see that happening."

“He’s not going to go to Arsenal, again, because of the rivalry." So Manchester United, I think, is the only option in England for Harry Kane this summer. Bayern Munich has been mentioned, and that could happen."

“Daniel Levy would be happier if he were sold internationally, so we could see that. "But I think if Harry wants to win trophies, then he’s going to have to leave Tottenham because they do struggle with that aspect," Gary Neville explained.

Manchester United are monitoring the player's situation at Tottenham Hotspur as his current contract expires in 2024. The Red Devils as well have Napoli's Victor Oshimen and Benfica's forward Goncalo Ramos on their radar.

It's unlikely that they will sign Wout Weghorst on a permanent basis given his struggles to find the back of the net, and Anthony Martial's injury woes mean he is likely to be on Erik Ten Hag's fire sale list next summer.
