'We want him back'-Erik Ten Hag makes positive Christian Eriksen's injury prediction.

After the Danish international sustained an ankle injury, Erik ten Hag is optimistic that Christian Eriksen will play for Manchester United again this campaign.

After suffering an ankle injury during Man United's FA Cup victory against Reading last weekend, Eriksen is anticipated to miss a significant amount of time from the field.

Although there is a chance that Eriksen may be back in action before the season is through, there is no concrete estimate of when he might return to the playing field as of yet.

Christian Eriksen may not play again until the summer break, but Ten Hag is certain that the seasoned midfielder can still benefit his team.

“Definitely [Eriksen can still contribute while recovering], he has so much experience as well,” Ten Hag said.

“He is now focusing on recovery and we want him to be [back] as soon as possible. I think it is still possible he has a role to play this season. So hopefully he will recover for that.”

Christian Eriksen has been the most creative player for Manchester United this season, registering 7 goals and scoring 3 more.

Diogo Dalot, who has been out for three weeks with a hamstring strain, is also in with a possibility of playing against Crystal Palace, according to Erik Ten Hag.

“I think he is doing quite well. Last couple of days, he has been back in the team training and [if] his training today goes well, he can also return to the squad for tomorrow.”

Man United has won its last three games, but they have all been cup games; in contrast, their last two Premier League games have yielded just one point for them.

Man United will face Crystal Palace today, and Ten Hag will be particularly motivated to see his team win after falling back to fourth place in the Premier League.
