Marcel Sabitzer opens up about his relationship with Erik Ten Hag and potential permanent deal

Manchester United's summer arrival Marcel Sabitzer has opened up about life at Old Trafford after featuring twice in four days for the Red Devils.

Marcel Sabitzer joined the Red Devils as an emergency dead-day recruit after Christian Eriksen picked up an injury that will keep him on the sidelines for a lengthy period.

The Austrian international moved from Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich and has appeared to settle in at Manchester. The 28-year-old played an important role in the consecutive league games against Leeds United.

The two games were undeniably one of the most tensed and emotionally draining matches Erik Ten Hag's side has played this season, and Marcel Sabitzer is amazed by the team spirit, which was evidently one of the reasons they were able to peg back Leeds United after trailing 2-0 at Old Trafford to finish 2-2.

"You can feel it, from the first moment here," said Sabitzer, when asked about the positive spirit within the squad.

"Leeds away is a big game, and we have to win those games." "We were ready for it, and the attitude was good."

"We knew before [Leeds at home] that they would be two tough games, and we had to be focused right until the end."

The Austrian international was instrumental in the buildup to Manchester United's opening goal at Elland Road as the Red Devils eventually put a resilient and aggressive Leeds United to the swords.

Marcel Sabitzer picked out Luke Shaw in an acre of space on the other side of the pitch and brilliantly sent a precise long range pass, which the England international controlled calmly before sending a lofty cross into the Whites' box, where Marcus Rashford was able to send the ball beyond Illan with a powerful header to give Man United the lead.

Marcel Sabitzer confirmed that his new teammate is a lethal weapon. "He [Marcus] is a great guy, a great player, and he's helping us a lot at the moment," he stated.

Marcel Sabitzer emphasized the Red Devils are focused despite being behind in the title race. "It's hard [to win the title], and we are a bit behind them, but, as I said, we'll keep going and doing our job," said Sabitzer.

"There are big games ahead, so we have to keep going and keep the energy high, and then we will see what happens at the end of the season."

The 28-year-old also opened up about his relationship with Manchester United's manager and if he could stay at Old Trafford on a permanent basis.

"He's good; he's talking to me a lot about what he's expecting from me, so I'll try to fulfill that. I'm feeling good, and I'm liking it here so far," he explained.

"It's a loan, and that's all I can say [about that] at the moment," he said. "What I can say is I'm feeling very good here; I like the team, I like the club, I like the atmosphere at Old Trafford... so we will see what happens in the summer.
